The Elite Corps de Ballet of Long Island

Founded in 2008 by Artistic Director Susan Nachtrab, The Elite Corps de Ballet of Long Island is a nonprofit ballet company dedicated to bringing young dancers together through the shared experience of classical ballet.

Established around the annual presentation of The Nutcracker, the company seeks to build meaningful connections among dancers, local studios, and the greater Long Island community. Students are welcomed regardless of their primary school or place of training, creating an environment where young artists can learn from one another, broaden their performance experience, and develop a deeper understanding of the discipline and professionalism of the performing arts.

Through collaboration, education, and performance, The Elite Corps de Ballet of Long Island provides young dancers with opportunities to grow as artists, performers, and students—while becoming part of a larger artistic community.
